I have been catching up on the live sessions and apologize for the late post! Learning about Samskara & the Kleshas gave me a deeper understanding of how trauma-informed yoga is structured in this course. It’s exciting to see how yoga can be used as a tool for healing beyond just physical movement. One concept I really appreciate is removing the guru mindset—shifting away from the idea that the teacher is perfect and instead focusing on community and inclusivity. This makes yoga feel more welcoming and less about competition. I’m also picking up a lot of accessibility tips, which will be really helpful moving forward. I loved Jen’s comment: “If the group goes rogue, it’s a good thing!” That’s not something I’ve felt encouraged to do in yoga before, so it was refreshing to hear. I’m looking forward to learning how to energetically structure a practice and emphasize the mental benefits of yoga rather than just physical appearance. This approach takes the pressure off the way we look and shifts the focus to inner growth, which I find really valuable.

This session gave me a lot to think about, and I’m excited for what’s next!
