About this Workshop

Objective: understand and experience interoceptive awareness in the context of personal and social identity.

This workshop explores identity from an embodied perspective through a unique take on the classic “Circles of Myself” activity. We’ll discuss how we experience our intersecting identities through our bodies and how we experience privilege and oppression. We’ll connect our personal experiences to concepts of implicit bias and systemic oppression viewed through a yogic lens.  We’ll reflect on how our collective insight gained through these activities and discussion informs how we offer yoga and mindfulness for incarcerated people.

We will send a reminder email with a link to the workshop the day before the event.
